What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a painless, soothing, and non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process and helping people to restore the vitality and vibrancy of their natural beauty. It is a rejuvenation and revitalization process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger. The Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treatment is based on the principles of Eastern Medicine and involves the insertion of hair-thin needles into particular areas of the face, ears, and others areas of the body to stimulate fresh and healthy blood flow to the face, to lift and tighten skin, clarify the pores, and improve the tonicity of the facial muscles. Significant results can be seen after just one session.
The recommended course of treatment is 12 sessions for maximum and lasting benefit, but significant results are noticeable after just the first treatment. In general, the effects of a full course of treatment can last between 2-5 years, but the benefits can be prolonged further with supplementing additional maintenance sessions.
A 1996 report in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture reported that among 300 cases treated with Facial Acupuncture, 90% had marked effects with one course of treatment. The effects included: the skin becoming delicate and fair, greater elasticity of the facial muscles, diminished wrinkles, better facial coloring, and overall rejuvenation of the skin of the whole body.

Michael is a New York State licensed acupuncturist with a Masters degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College in New York City. He received his certification in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and loves to help people look and feel their best without the side effects that can often come with other forms of cosmetic enhancement. His long standing passion for the healing arts began at Zen Mountain Monastery in Mt. Tremper, New York where he studied and learned Zen meditation and mindfulness under the teachings of John “Daido” Loori. Michael went on to study in India with the Dalai Lama and attended formal retreats with renowned Advaita teacher, Adyashanti. It was here he began to deeply understand the true relationship between the body, mind, and spirit, and has gone on to develop his own unique form of healing that treats disease as a manifestation of underlying internal disharmony.
